So, How Much Are People *Really* Paying for Renaissance Tix?

As soon as Beyonce's Renaissance tour was announced the memes started rolling in. Fans teased that they'd sell their mother's houses, skip rent altogether, hell – even donate a kidney to experience the album IRL.

But are people really putting their money where their mouths are? How much are people really shelling out for tickets to the tour of the year?

My friends and I shamelessly overpaid. We were sold on attending the Las Vegas stop and making a weekend out of it. We booked a room before that specific hotel joined the legions of others hiking their prices and braced ourselves for the worst. The presale lottery situation was absolutely not in our favor and we ended up paying resale to snag floor seats, vowing to never mention the total to a living soul.

In an effort to mitigate my recklessness, I asked my IG family how much they paid for Renaissance tickets. Were we all doing the absolute most or nah? The responses were all over the damn place.

"Don't judge me! I paid $1,191.26. That's including tax. For Houston section 104."

"Paid $800 per ticket for Club Renaissance at the Santa Clara show, only slightly higher than the same spot when I saw On the Run."

"I paid $245 ($343 after fees) for section 103 in Vegas. And I paid $305 after fees for section 433 at Sofi."

"I got section 101 in Vegas for $248 but $344 after taxes and fees. It was stressful and took 2 computers and 2 phones."

"I'll be seeing her in LA at Sofi stadium section 123, I paid $498.05."

I just had to read these responses to my overpaying-ass friends of mine.

The response? A choral, syncopated, "Bruhhh."

How much did you pay? And was there a comma in the price or nah 🥴?
