Following the success of their recent full-length LP Wealth and Hellness, Human Zoo releases "Bottletops"

Written, directed, edited by, and starring Lauren Leroux, Bottletops tells a tragically familiar tale of two corporate office workers’ fall from grace as they succumb to addiction and inner demons. Driven by a grinding, hypnotic drum beat and wailing, off-kilter fuzz guitar lines, the video is vividly colorful and totally unhinged.

“We like to have a laugh, even when we explore messed up things like a drug addiction” singer/frontman Spencer Daniele says. “Just because there are pills, powders, and whiskey bottles strewn about in the video doesn’t mean we condone it; sometimes it’s easier to write about what you don’t want to be."

Founded by Joey Papa and Spencer Daniele; Human Zoo (Cranford NJ) is an avant-pop band that formed from a fateful Facebook post. Originally named Electric Sensei, the group currently features Zack Olsson (Keys) Alex Mendelson (Guitar/Vox) Mike Bottiglieri (Bass) Spencer Daniele (Vocals), and Joey Papa (Drums). With a highly eclectic sound that draws from rock, soul, funk, pop, world music, and love songs, the band changes lanes unexpectedly to satiate the modern attention span. With remote collabs and projects financed with crypto-currency, Human Zoo leverages technology to create a community of forward-thinking futuristic weirdos. Influences of the band include Mr. Bungle, Ween, and Queens of the Stone Age.
